In School Success Program

The In School Success Program utilizes interventions that are evidence-based models of treatment.  Models that have influenced this program include Collaborative Problem Solving and Life Skills Training.

The mission of the In School Success Program is to serve as a school-based mental health program and academic support to adolescents attending Winslow Township Middle School and enhance the personal growth and development of the students we serve. Services offered are tailored to assist students in meeting their personal and academic goals as well as to the needs of the community. A commitment to client confidentiality, ethical behavior and utilization of evidence-based models of treatment is central to our mission and daily practice.

The In School Success Program envisions a school where students strive to attain academic achievement, where parent, teacher, and community involvement are strong, and where positive relationships between students and teachers are valued and maintained.  ISSP also envisions students demonstrating positive decision making skills, conflict resolution skills, and resistance to substance abuse.

To receive services: Parents can contact our Program Coordinator to complete an intake. Students receive services for the duration of the school year or until all goals are met.

The overall goals of the In School Success Program (ISSP) include helping youths: to significantly improve academic performance, to display better problem solving skills, to exhibit more, positive pro-social behavior, to decrease high-risk behaviors at home and school, to increase student’s sense of community, to improve conflict resolution skills, to improve social skills, and to decrease disciplinary referrals.
