About Us
I used to struggle to get
something to eat but now I am not. I went to school with no
money in my pocket or a snack for lunch. I went to a school
where I could not afford to go, because it was very far from
my home. I couldn’t afford it, why because I was swimming in
the middle of poorness.
I lost my mother when I was 5 years old, I don't know where
my father is because I never saw him in my life. When I lost
my mother, from then I lost my potential and hope in life. I
had to take to the streets to fend for food to eat and many
days did not go to school because my school clothes were
dirty and sweaty from sleeping in them. All I did was to
swim in poverty and poorness.
If it wasn’t for the Haynes Foundation who took me from hell
and took me in with tenderness, even now I would have been
swimming in the crazy poverty swimming pool. I want to send
a million thanks the Haynes Foundation for helping us
especially Mrs. Stacy. Because of you I wore brand new
clothes for the first time; they really smell good and
opened brand new toys on Christmas day. I have clean school
clothes, a book bag and plenty of food to eat.
Now I feel like a person again, but I’m not rushing things,
I’m taking them slowly. I now have a chance at being all
that I can be. And when I succeed you will see the changes.
I will never let my children suffer the same I did in life!
